SELF-RIGHTEOUS NEWS...

Since 2005 The Self-Righteous Brothers have been a side-project from Derek (vocals/acoustic guitar) and Nigel (vocals/upright bass). Their music has been described as comfort food for the ears, offering an eclectic mix of blues, folk, country, jazz, Americana and anything else that takes their fancy, ranging from Bessie Smith to Brian Eno and their own songs.

The Self-Righteous Brothers have performed at various arts and blues festivals and other hi-falutin' events around New Zealand. Their first album RustySwingFeel came out in 2006 and in 2013 they released a follow-up, Social Fretwork.
