Every Day I Have The Blues

The band played a 5-song set and were joined on stage by Liam Ryan (keyboards) and Damain Forlong (trombone). The evening finished with Kokomo leading members of the bands performing at the gala through Memphis Slim's "Every Day I Have The Blues"

Here's a slightly weird one - after the concert Toni Proud took photos of the band (and Jeff Smith singer/keyboard player from That's Life - in the middle at the bottom). This is part of a project to picture musicians with mugs that feature an image of "The Last Supper", a 250kg sculpture created by Tauranga artist Franz Mens made from cement, rock, oak and copper. and "wired up with lighting" which failed to sell on TradeMe a few years back for $10,000,000. Exactly why Toni is doing this is a mystery to us but we wish her well!

Artist Bernard Dobbie was on hand painting bands as they played. Here he is while Grant mixes it with the crowd. This painting was done during Kokomo's set.

We were lucky enough to have Mike Butler present, blues afficianado, harp player, video cameraman and photographer specialising in close-ups of live performers. He is responsible for this photo gallery and the 2 videos:
