They're Playing Our Music There...We just heard from Johnny Timewarp, a DJ who hosts the Dark Side of the Highway roots music show (Sundays 2-4 PM) on radio station WFCS 107.7 FM in New Britain, Connecticut, USA, that he is now featuring songs from Kokomo's Songs Of Love And Not album. Can World Domination be far behind? (If you happen to live in CT, give Johnny a ring and tell him what a good job he's doing!) |

Songs Of HopeKokomo's "Song For Brook (Angels)" - from the Songs Of Love And Not album - has been used on a 3-song CD EP Song Of Hope, part of the Project Hope fundraising effort in the Bay of Plenty. 1000 copies of the CD are currently being sold in the area.Project Hope is spearheaded by The Bay Health Foundation and is in the process of raising three million dollars to establish cancer centres for both Eastern (Whakatane) and Western (Tauranga) Bay of Plenty. Last year Kokomo played a concert along with Tauranga R&B band Brilleaux (see "Friends of the Band" on the the Links page) which raised several thousand dollars for the cause. |
